About Crystalline Entity
Crystalline Entity, Artifact creature — elemental, designed by David Álvarez first released in Jul, 2026 in the set Star Trek and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Crystalline Entity would mostly benefit artifact-heavy ramp/control decks, especially in Commander, where your own board is mostly artifacts and you can make its “destroy all nonartifact creatures” effect close to one-sided; decks like colorless artifact ramp, artifact-matters commanders, or blink/copy shells that can repeatedly cast/copy big artifact creatures may like it, though the “if you cast it” clause makes reanimation and cheating it into play much worse. At 8 mana, it is powerful but slow, so many decks may prefer cheaper or more flexible sweepers like `All Is Dust`, `Ugin, the Spirit Dragon`, `Nevinyrral's Disk`, `Perilous Vault`, or `Portal to Phyrexia`; creature-based artifact decks might also compare it to `Cityscape Leveler`, which is more broadly useful because it answers any nonland permanent and has unearth. Overall, Crystalline Entity is playable in casual Commander artifact decks that can ramp hard and protect their artifact board, but it probably should not see much
