About Flow State
Flow State, Sorcery, designed by Genel Jumalon first released in Apr, 2026 in the set Secrets of Strixhaven.
**Flow State** would fit best in a blue-based spellslinger or tempo deck—particularly ones that naturally stock the graveyard with instants and sorceries, such as Izzet (UR) Prowess, Phoenix-style decks, or control shells that trade early interaction for card selection. The floor is a slightly weaker *Impulse* (which looks at four cards at instant speed), but the ceiling—drawing two cards for two mana—is quite strong if the graveyard condition is reliably enabled. However, compared to existing options, it faces stiff competition: *Expressive Iteration* (in formats where legal) offers stronger card advantage, *Preordain* and *Consider* are cheaper and more efficient at smoothing draws, and *Impulse* being instant speed is a major upgrade in reactive decks. Because sorcery speed and the setup requirement reduce flexibility, this card would likely be playable only in slower Standard-level spells-matter decks or graveyard-centric builds, but in larger formats it would probably be outclasse
