Hogaak, Arisen Necropolis encajaría perfectamente en un mazo de cementerio Golgari centrado en utilizar criaturas y recursos del cementerio. Su capacidad para lanzarse desde el cementerio, junto con sus mecánicas de convocación y excavación, la convierten en una amenaza poderosa y rentable. Si bien puede haber otras opciones fuertes como Tarmogoyf o Death's Shadow, las habilidades únicas de Hogaak y su potencial para jugadas explosivas lo convierten en una opción viable para mazos que buscan aprovechar las sinergias del cementerio y abrumar a los oponentes con una gran criatura pisoteadora.

If a creature you control has a mana ability with in the cost, activating that ability while casting a spell with convoke will result in the creature being tapped before you pay the spell’s costs. You won’t be able to tap it again for convoke. Similarly, if you sacrifice a creature to activate a mana ability while casting a spell with convoke, that creature won’t be on the battlefield when you pay the spell’s costs, so you won’t be able to tap it for convoke.
