About Inkfathom Witch
Inkfathom Witch, Creature — merfolk wizard, designed by Larry MacDougall first released in May, 2020 in the set Shadowmoor and was printed exactly in 4 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of ₱ 2.99.
A deck focused on aggressive strategies and evasion would benefit from including Inkfathom Witch, as its Fear ability makes it difficult to block, and its activated ability can pump up unblocked creatures for additional damage. However, there may be better options available, such as Invisible Stalker or Slither Blade, which offer similar evasive qualities without the color restrictions or additional mana cost. Inkfathom Witch could see play in specific tribal or synergy-based decks, but may not be a top choice in competitive environments.
Rules
10/01/09
The effect from the ability overwrites other effects that set power and/or toughness if and only if those effects existed before the ability resolved. It will not overwrite effects that modify power or toughness (whether from a static ability, counters, or a resolved spell or ability), nor will it overwrite effects that set power and toughness which come into existence after the ability resolves. Effects that switch the creature’s power and toughness are always applied after any other power or toughness changing effects, including this one, regardless of the order in which they are created.
05/01/08
An “unblocked creature” is a creature that attacked and wasn’t blocked. Creatures aren’t “blocked” or “unblocked” until the declare blockers step, so activating this ability before then (or after combat ends) will have no effect.
05/01/08
Inkfathom Witch doesn’t cause creatures to lose their abilities.
