A deck that focuses on aggressive strategies and has a high density of land cards would benefit from including Land's Edge, as it provides a consistent source of direct damage to pressure the opponent. However, there are more efficient options available, such as Lightning Bolt, which deals 3 damage for just R, making it a better choice in most scenarios. While Land's Edge can be a fun and thematic inclusion in certain casual decks, it is generally not considered competitive enough for serious play in formats like Modern or Legacy.

The damage done when you discard a land only applies to lands which are discarded by choice using the Land’s Edge ability. It does not work on forced discards of any type.
