**Last Stand** fits best in aggressive or combo-focused decks that rely on a single high‑Might unit to push lethal damage in one decisive turn, especially in builds that either don’t care about losing the unit (because they win immediately) or can exploit the death through sacrifice/death triggers. It’s strongest in burst‑damage archetypes, “all‑in” tempo lists, or decks that generate large units quickly and want to convert board presence into a sudden finisher during a showdown. However, because it costs 3 and the unit dies at the start of your next Beginning Phase, it’s risky and inefficient in midrange or value decks that prefer sustained pressure. Cards that grant permanent buffs, protection (like Shield/Guard effects), or large Might increases without the forced death are generally better in slower strategies, and alternative finisher spells that provide direct damage or Overwhelm-style effects can be more reliable if available in your card pool.
