This card, Long Road Home, would be beneficial in a white-based control or tempo deck looking to temporarily remove a threatening creature from the battlefield while also gaining a slight advantage upon its return. However, a similar card that sees more play in competitive Magic: the Gathering is Blink of an Eye, which provides flexibility by allowing you to bounce any nonland permanent at instant speed for the same mana cost, making it a more versatile option in various situations.
