About Monastery Siege

Monastery Siege, Enchantment, designed by Mark Winters first released in May, 2020 in the set Fate Reforged and was printed exactly in 3 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of ₱ 91.44.

A control deck that focuses on card advantage and disruption would benefit from using Monastery Siege, particularly the Khans mode for additional card draw and filtering. However, there are better options for similar effects, such as Search for Azcanta or Rhystic Study, which provide more consistent and powerful card advantage. While Monastery Siege can be situationally useful, it may not see widespread play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks.

Each of the last two abilities is linked to the first ability. They each refer only to the choice made as a result of the first ability. If a permanent enters the battlefield as a copy of one of the Sieges, its controller will make a new choice for that Siege. Which ability the copy has won’t depend on the choice made for the original permanent.

The “Khans” ability happens after you draw the card you normally draw during your draw step. That card and the additional card will be in your hand when you have to discard a card.
