This Nullstone Gargoyle card would be beneficial in a control deck that aims to disrupt the opponent's spells and slow down their game plan. While it can be a powerful deterrent against noncreature spells, its high mana cost may make it less efficient compared to other options like Glen Elendra Archmage, which offers similar spell-countering abilities at a lower cost and with the added flexibility of being able to counter multiple spells.
