Pet Project would be particularly beneficial in a reanimator or control deck that aims to utilize opponents' graveyards, as it allows you to steal key creatures and turn their resources against them. Decks that focus on graveyard interaction, such as those featuring cards like Grixis Delver or Milling strategies, could leverage this card effectively. However, there are arguably better options, such as Rise of the Dark Realms, which can return all creature cards from all graveyards to your battlefield, providing a more significant impact. Contraptions are artifacts. Anything that interacts with artifacts will interact with Contraptions.

If you crank multiple Contraptions, their abilities can be put onto the stack in any order. The ability put onto the stack will resolve first.

If you or a permanent you control are instructed to assemble a Contraption, reveal the top card of your Contraption deck. Put it onto the battlefield on one of the three sprockets.

If you or a permanent you control assembles a Contraption and your Contraption deck is empty, nothing happens. You don’t lose the game.
