Wilderland Scrounger fits best in a green-based stompy or creature-token deck that can reliably control a creature with power 4 or greater and attack with a wide board, since repeated team-wide +1/+1 counters can quickly overwhelm opponents; it is most appealing in Limited, casual battlecruiser play, or a low-power Commander deck, rather than competitive constructed formats where five-mana creatures need more immediate impact. A notably better comparable card is **Ridgescale Tusker**, which gives your whole team a +1/+1 counter immediately when it enters the battlefield while also leaving behind a larger 5/5 body, so it does not require attacking or meeting Ferocious first; cards such as **End-Raze Forerunners** are also much stronger top-end finishers for go-wide decks.
