This Puresteel Angel card would be beneficial in a control deck that focuses on artifact removal and life gain strategies, as it provides a powerful defensive presence with flying and indestructible abilities, while also offering a game-saving emblem upon dealing combat damage. However, in competitive Magic: The Gathering play, there are likely more efficient and impactful cards available for similar mana costs, such as Baneslayer Angel or Avacyn, Angel of Hope, which offer stronger immediate effects or board presence. For your life total to become a certain number, you gain or lose the corresponding amount of life. For example, if your life total is 4 when you lose the game, the emblem will cause you to gain 16 life; alternatively, if your life total is 40, it will cause you to lose 20 life. If your life total is -214 life, you’ll gain 234 life. Wow. Other cards that interact with life gain or life loss will interact with this effect accordingly.
