A control or tempo deck that focuses on drawing cards and maintaining card advantage would benefit from using Trial of Knowledge. While it provides a decent card draw effect, its return to hand ability when a Cartouche enters can be a bit situational. Better options for card draw in blue decks include cards like Opt or Chemister's Insight, which offer more consistent value and flexibility. Overall, Trial of Knowledge could see play in specific deck archetypes, but there are generally better options available for card draw in Magic: the Gathering.

Each Trial has an ability to return to your hand when a Cartouche enters the battlefield under your control. The Trial is returned to its owner’s hand only if it’s on the battlefield as the ability resolves.
