A deck focused on tempo and control strategies in Magic: the Gathering would benefit from using Merfolk Skyscout, as it provides a powerful ability to untap a permanent when attacking or blocking, allowing for more flexibility and advantage in combat situations. While there may be more competitive options available, such as Vendilion Clique or Snapcaster Mage, Merfolk Skyscout could still see play in casual or themed decks centered around merfolk tribal synergies or flying creature strategies.
