This card, Clarion Ultimatum, would benefit a deck that focuses on having multiple copies of powerful permanents on the battlefield, such as legendary creatures or key artifacts. While the high mana cost may be a drawback, the potential to search for and put multiple copies of important cards onto the battlefield can be a game-winning play. However, in competitive Magic: the Gathering environments, there are likely more efficient cards that achieve similar effects, such as Primevals' Glorious Rebirth, which can bring back a variety of permanent types from the graveyard. Clarion Ultimatum may not see widespread play due to its high cost and potential for being outclassed by other options.

If you choose a permanent whose name has been changed by an effect (for example, a Clone that’s copying another creature), you’ll search for a card with the new name, not one with the original name. Note that changing a land’s subtype doesn’t change its name.
