This card, Reality Scramble, would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on a wide variety of permanent types to increase the chances of hitting a desirable card when using its ability. Decks with diverse permanent types such as creature-heavy decks or artifact-based decks could benefit from the potential card advantage and board presence this card offers. However, in competitive Magic: the Gathering formats, there are likely more efficient and reliable options available, such as tutors or card draw spells, making Reality Scramble less likely to see play in those environments.

Casting a card by using its retrace ability works just like casting any other spell, with two exceptions: You’re casting it from your graveyard rather than your hand, and you must discard a land card in addition to any other costs.
