Riveting Rigger would fit well in a deck focused on artifacts and the Contraption mechanic, such as a Grixis Artifacts or Bant Contraptions deck, where sacrificing artifacts is a common strategy to gain value and board presence. While there are powerful alternatives like Sai, Master Thopterist, which generates Thopter tokens for every artifact you cast, Riveting Rigger's ability to both boost its stats and assemble a Contraption can be quite synergistic in the right build. Overall, it could see play in a dedicated artifact deck, especially if you can consistently sacrifice artifacts to maximize its potential.
