A deck focused on token generation or proliferating counters would benefit from using the Shoe Tree card as it allows for easy power and toughness buffing through shoe counters. However, in a competitive environment, there are likely better options available for similar effects, such as modular creatures in affinity decks like Arcbound Ravager or Steel Overseer, which offer more versatility and power potential. Shoe Tree could be used in a casual or thematic deck for fun, but it may struggle to see play consistently in more competitive settings.
