This card would benefit a deck that focuses on artifacts, such as an artifact-heavy deck in Magic: The Gathering. Decks that utilize a lot of artifacts in the graveyard would make Slag Fiend a powerful and potentially game-changing creature. However, there are better cards out there that offer more consistent power and toughness, such as Arcbound Ravager or Hangarback Walker, which are more commonly seen in competitive play due to their versatility and impact on the game. Overall, while Slag Fiend can be a strong addition to the right deck, it may not see as much play compared to other more powerful artifact creatures available.
