Smart Ass could be a valuable addition to a control deck that focuses on disrupting the opponent's hand and limiting their options. While its ability to potentially become unblockable can be powerful, there are better options available such as Thoughtseize or Inquisition of Kozilek which provide more consistent hand disruption. Smart Ass could see play in more casual or themed decks, but in competitive settings, more efficient cards would likely be preferred.
