About The Vision

The Vision, Legendary artifact creature — robot hero, designed by Carissa Susilo first released in May, 2026 in the set Marvel Super Heroes.

The Vision would fit best in a spellslinger or noncreature-heavy midrange/control deck—particularly Jeskai, Azorius, or even Izzet-based builds—where you’re casting multiple noncreature spells per turn (removal, cantrips, counterspells, planeswalkers, artifacts) to reliably trigger its flexible modes; flying and vigilance make it a strong stabilizer, while double strike closes games quickly and indestructible protects it through combat or sweepers, and the card draw keeps gas flowing. It’s strongest in formats with cheap cantrips and interaction (like Commander or possibly Pioneer/Modern at a stretch), but at four mana it competes with extremely efficient threats—such as Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Murktide Regent, The Wandering Emperor, or Questing Beast—which often generate more immediate or guaranteed value without requiring additional spells, meaning The Vision is powerful but build-around dependent.
