About Thrór's Map

Thrór’s Map fits best in slow, artifact-synergy, graveyard, or Commander decks that want reliable basic-land fixing early and can later turn excess lands or situational cards into better draws; it is especially reasonable in Limited, where smoothing mana and looting are both valuable, but it is generally too low-impact for competitive Constructed because it neither ramps nor produces card advantage. If the goal is mana development, Wayfarer’s Bauble is usually better because it puts a basic land directly onto the battlefield, while green decks have much stronger options such as Rampant Growth, Nature’s Lore, and Three Visits; if the goal is finding an important utility land, Expedition Map is better because it can find any land rather than only a basic. If the goal is repeated looting, Bag of Holding has the same `{2}, {T}: draw a card, then discard a card` activation for one less mana upfront and provides additional discard synergy.
