This card could benefit a control deck that focuses on stalling the game and building up resources until it can cast Undying Flames for a potentially game-ending amount of damage. However, due to its high cost and the restriction of not being able to cast spells for the rest of the game, it may be too slow and risky for competitive play. Other cards like Banefire or Comet Storm may provide more reliable and immediate damage without the same drawbacks, making them better options for most decks.
