The physical edition of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth for Nintendo Switch 2, scheduled for release on June 3, 2026, will include an extra item aimed at game fans and collectors: an exclusive Magic: The Gathering promo card.
The promotional card is a special version of Zack Fair, a classic character from Final Fantasy VII, featured in the Magic: The Gathering x FINAL FANTASY crossover set. The artwork — illustrated by Tetsuya Nomura — and the card design are exclusive to this edition of the game.
This inclusion is while physical edition stocks last, which could make it a rare and sought-after item for players of both franchises.
The strategy of incorporating Magic: The Gathering content into Final Fantasy products had already been used in previous initiatives, such as offering themed booster packs in physical versions of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade for the Nintendo Switch 2.
