Dimir Rogues was one of the most enjoyable archetypes from the Zendikar Rising season. The deck mixes a dozen cheap creatures with Flash and hand, board, and stack disruption, all with a mill subtheme, letting you attack from multiple angles at once.
The deck never had much space in Pioneer outside some occasional results, and it competes directly with Dimir Ninjas, which emerged with Kaito, Bane of Nightmares in Duskmourn. However, Rogues gained new support with Lorwyn Eclipsed in Flitterwing Nuisance and Bitterbloom Bearer, giving it a breath of fresh air that could help push the deck forward in 2026.
The Decklist
Maindeck

The "tribal" cards of the list.
Thieves' Guild Enforcer fuels the mill plan with each Rogue that enters the board. We can easily enable its threshold with interaction to turn it into a 3/2 for one mana.
Enforcer also feeds Soaring Thought-Thief to turn it into a 2/3 with Flying that significantly increases our creatures' clock.

The faerie package.
Flitterwing Nuisance is the most efficient one-drop we have for Rogues now, and it turns into a solid source of card advantage as the game goes longer.
Bitterbloom Bearer will, for a long time, be the closest thing to Bitterblossom that Pioneer will have. Unfortunately, the design team was careful to make sure its tokens aren't Rogues, so they don't interact with the rest of the list.
Brazen Borrower interacts with the board as a Tempo play while having the most efficient clock among our creatures, generating a pseudo two-for-one as the game progresses.

Enduring Curiosity rounds out the threat package and turns our flying creatures into extra draws. It also survives against the format's traditional removal today.

Thoughtseize and Fatal Push are the best interaction spells in the format today. We're not the best deck at enabling Revolt, but we need cheap removal against Badgermole Cub and most creatures from Red Aggro.
Drown in the Loch interacts with the Mill plan and is one of the most flexible cards we can have, serving as both board and stack control. A playset might be too many if Izzet Phoenix becomes very common in the Metagame, but today Prowess is a more common deck, and most lists don't run Treasure Cruise.

The Meta Calls.
Spell Snare on the draw is almost mandatory to avoid being overwhelmed by Cori-Steel Cutter or Badgermole Cub. Cling to Dust works as targeted graveyard hate against Greasefang, Okiba Boss and Arclight Phoenix. In the worst case, it turns into a cantrip or life gain against Aggro.

Castle Locthwain generates recurring card advantage in the late game, and we have Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth to help it enter untapped. Otawara, Soaring City interacts with the board in a land slot, adding a bit more flexibility.
Hive of the Eye-Tyrant complements the threats and also deals with problems in the opponent's graveyard, while Restless Reef is also a threat, but one that doubles as a dual land and an extra mill effect for longer games.
Sideboard

Spell Pierce is another way to answer Cori-Steel Cutter in the early turns, and it also works in Midrange or Control matchups where we need to prevent sweepers and some card advantage engines from resolving. It's not very efficient against Golgari.
Duress adds to the discard package and also works in Prowess and Control matchups while contributing to disruption against combo decks.
Disdainful Stroke comes in against Midrange and Control, as well as against Big Mana strategies like Nykthos Ramp or Goodstuff piles in general.

A playset of Ghost Vacuum is necessary for a deck that can't run Leyline of the Void, but it actively fuels the opponent's graveyard to the point of accelerating decks like Greasefang and Izzet Phoenix.
Aether Gust comes in as a flexible card against Mono Red/Prowess and can also delay some turns against decks like Scapeshift and Nykthos Ramp.

The complementary removal.
Anoint with Affliction exiles creatures. Today, it's less efficient since we no longer need to deal with Heartfire Hero, but there are still Enduring Innocence and occasional lists with Unstoppable Slasher that demand this type of interaction.
Bile Blight answers the tokens from Cori-Steel Cutter in a slot that also destroys Greasefang, Okiba Boss. Go for the Throat complements Drown in the Loch among the interaction against larger threats.
