The Pro Tour Secrets of Strixhaven, taking place from May 1st to 3rd, 2026 at MagicCon: Las Vegas, will feature Izzet Prowess as the most represented deck in the Standard format. According to a Metagame analysis published by Frank Karsen on the official Magic website, 99 out of 325 competitors (30.5%) opted for some version of the archetype.

The second most played deck is Mono-Green Landfall, with 62 players (19.1%). Following are Izzet Spellementals (26, 8.0%), Izzet Lessons (24, 7.4%), and Azorius Momo (14, 4.3%). Jeskai Control has 12 players (3.7%) and Selesnya Landfall, 11 (3.4%). The remaining archetypes have fewer than 10 players each, including Golgari Midrange, Dimir Excruciator, Sultai Control, and Simic Omniscience.
The analysis points out that the current Metagame differs from Pro Tour Lorwyn Eclipsed, where Simic Rhythm was the majority and Dimir Excruciator won. Now, both have modest participation. On the other hand, Izzet archetypes are the majority in the environment, with almost half of the tournament share (48.7%)

Among the new cards from Secrets of Strixhaven, the most prevalent is Flow State, with 428 copies in total. The card appears in all Izzet Prowess lists and in 113 lists overall (34.8% of the Metagame). Colorstorm Stallion and Prismari Charm also saw high numbers among Izzet decks.
The tournament starts at 11 AM (Pacific Time) on Friday (1st) and Saturday (2nd), and at 10 AM on Sunday (3rd), with live streaming on Twitch and YouTube at Play MTG. The Top 8 elimination round will be played entirely in Standard on Sunday.
