Clutch of Currents, Sorcery, designed by Igor Kieryluk first released in Oct, 2015 in the set Battle for Zendikar and was printed exactly in 3 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 0.55.
A tempo-based blue deck that focuses on disrupting the opponent's board state and maintaining control would benefit from using Clutch of Currents. While Clutch of Currents provides a versatile option for bouncing a creature and potentially creating a threat with its Awaken ability, there are arguably better options like Vapor Snag or Unsummon that offer more immediate value at a lower cost. Clutch of Currents could still see play in certain strategies that value the land animation effect or seek additional versatility in their removal options.

If a spell with awaken has multiple targets (including the land you control), and some but not all of those targets become illegal by the time the spell tries to resolve, the spell won’t affect the illegal targets in any way.

The land will retain any other types, subtypes, or supertypes it previously had. It will also retain any mana abilities it had as a result of those subtypes. For example, a Forest that’s turned into a creature this way can still be tapped for .

You can cast a spell with awaken for its mana cost and get only its first effect. If you cast a spell for its awaken cost, you’ll get both effects.
