Dreamshaper Shaman would fit well in a deck focused on sacrificing nonland permanents for value, such as a Jund or Rakdos sacrifice deck that utilizes cards like Mayhem Devil or Chandra, Awakened Inferno to capitalize on the sacrifice mechanic. While there are other cards that can achieve similar effects, like Liliana, Dreadhorde General, which provides card advantage and board presence, Dreamshaper Shaman can still see play due to its ability to potentially cheat larger threats onto the battlefield.
