About Embercleave

Embercleave would greatly benefit aggressive red decks that focus on attacking with multiple creatures, as it becomes more cost-effective to cast with each attacking creature. While it is a powerful card for boosting a creature's stats with double strike and trample, some decks may prefer other options like Colossus Hammer for a more explosive start or Maul of the Skyclaves for a similar effect with flying. Embercleave is a strong choice for decks looking to close out games quickly with overwhelming combat damage.

Once you announce that you're casting a spell, no player may take actions until the spell has been paid for. Notably, opponents can't try to increase Embercleave's cost by removing attacking creatures you control.
