Erupting Dreadwolf would fit well in an aggressive or midrange deck that focuses on dealing damage quickly while utilizing the Werewolf theme, as its ability to deal 2 damage to any target upon attacking can help clear blockers or finish off opponents. However, there are arguably better options, such as Bonecrusher Giant, which provides both a creature and a removal spell in one card, making it more versatile. While Erupting Dreadwolf can be a fun and thematic inclusion, it may not see competitive play compared to more efficient cards that offer greater value or utility.

Erupting Dreadwolf’s triggered ability resolves before blockers are chosen. A creature dealt lethal damage this way won’t be around to block.
