Krosan Constrictor fits well in a green-black (Golgari) deck that focuses on controlling the board and leveraging the swampwalk ability to bypass defenses against opponents who rely on Swamps. Its ability to debuff a black creature can be particularly useful in matchups against other black decks, making it a solid choice for a midrange strategy. However, there are potentially better options, such as Kozilek's Predator for ramp and token generation or Glistener Elf for early aggression, depending on your deck's focus.
