Lava Axe, Sorcery, designed by Adrian Smith first released in May, 1997 in the set Portal and was printed exactly in 21 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 0.15.
A red aggressive deck focused on dealing direct damage to the opponent would benefit from including Lava Axe, as it provides a quick burst of damage to finish off the opponent. However, there are better options available such as Lightning Bolt, which is more versatile and efficient for its cost, making it a more popular choice in competitive play. Lava Axe could be considered in casual or budget decks, but it may not see much play in more competitive environments.
