About Makindi Shieldmate

Makindi Shieldmate, Creature — kor soldier ally, designed by Howard Lyon first released in May, 2020 in the set Zendikar. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 0.30.

This card would be a great addition to a White Weenie or Ally tribal deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it provides a solid defensive option with the Defender ability and can grow stronger with +1/+1 counters when more Allies enter the battlefield. While Makindi Shieldmate is a decent card for its cost, there are better options like Kazandu Blademaster or Kabira Evangel that offer more impactful abilities and synergies in Ally decks, so it may not see play in more competitive settings.
