A deck focused on controlling the board and disrupting the opponent's strategy, such as a mono-black control or a black-blue control deck, would benefit from using Nightmare Incursion. However, there are better options like Surgical Extraction or Extirpate that offer more immediate and versatile graveyard hate. While Nightmare Incursion has its niche uses, it may not see widespread play in competitive Magic: The Gathering decks due to its high mana cost and limited scope compared to other similar cards.
