About Opal Gargoyle

Opal Gargoyle, Enchantment, designed by Kev Walker first released in Oct, 1998 in the set Urza's Saga. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 3.18.

Opal Gargoyle would be a great addition to a White-based Enchantment deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it provides a versatile threat that can surprise opponents when they cast creature spells. However, there are more powerful options like Starfield Mystic or Eidolon of Blossoms that offer additional benefits and synergies within an Enchantment deck, making Opal Gargoyle less competitive in higher-level play but still a fun and flavorful choice for casual games.

A noncreature permanent that turns into a creature can attack, and its abilities can be activated, only if its controller has continuously controlled that permanent since the beginning of their most recent turn. It doesn’t matter how long the permanent has been a creature.
