About Skinwing

Skinwing, Artifact — equipment, designed by Igor Kieryluk first released in Feb, 2011 in the set Mirrodin Besieged and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 0.50.

Skinwing could be beneficial in a black control deck that focuses on generating creature tokens and buffing them with equipment. However, there are better options available such as Batterskull, which provides more value for its cost with lifelink and the ability to return to hand. Skinwing may not see much play in competitive decks due to its high equip cost and limited impact compared to other equipment cards.

If the Germ token is destroyed, the Equipment remains on the battlefield as with any other Equipment.

The Germ token enters the battlefield as a 0/0 creature and the Equipment becomes attached to it before state-based actions would cause the token to die. Abilities that trigger as the token enters the battlefield see that a 0/0 creature entered the battlefield.
