About Soar

Soar, Enchantment — aura, designed by Tony Roberts first released in Oct, 1996 in the set Mirage. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 1.59.

This card, Soar, would benefit a deck that focuses on aggressive flying creatures or strategies that require evasion. While it provides a small buff of +0/+1 and flying to the enchanted creature, there are better options available such as Favorable Winds or Empyrean Eagle which offer more impactful bonuses to all flying creatures. Soar could see play in a budget deck or as a situational tech card, but overall there are stronger choices for enhancing a flying-themed strategy in Magic: the Gathering.

Rules

10/01/09

The sacrifice occurs only if you cast it using its own ability. If you cast it using some other effect (for instance, if it gained flash from Vedalken Orrery), then it won’t be sacrificed.
