About Stoke the Flames

Stoke the Flames, Instant, designed by Mathias Kollros first released in Jun, 2002 in the set Magic Online Promos and was printed exactly in 5 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 1.08.

A deck that focuses on aggressive red creatures and generating a wide board presence would benefit from including Stoke the Flames, as it allows for additional reach and removal potential while leveraging the Convoke ability to potentially cast it for less mana. However, in a competitive setting, cards like Lightning Bolt or Skewer the Critics may be considered better options due to their lower mana cost and instant speed, making them more versatile and efficient choices for direct damage spells. Stoke the Flames could still see play in specific strategies that benefit from its Convoke ability or in formats where its unique effect is particularly valuable.
