This Updraft Elemental card would be a great addition to a blue-based control deck that focuses on utilizing flying creatures for evasion and chip damage. While it provides a decent flying threat for its cost, there are better options like Serendib Efreet or Cloud Elemental that offer more impactful abilities or stats for a similar mana investment. However, in a limited format or a budget deck, Updraft Elemental could still see play as a solid flying creature option.
