Virtual Assistant would fit best in a blue-based artifact or token deck that can reliably trigger “teamwork” (assuming it rewards casting spells collaboratively or with additional conditions), especially in formats where generating multiple cheap artifact creatures provides value through sacrifice outlets, anthem effects, or artifact synergies like Affinity-style payoffs; its defender body makes it poor for aggressive strategies but acceptable in slower control or combo shells that want incremental token generation. However, at two mana for a 0-power defender that only produces tokens conditionally, it competes poorly with stronger token engines like Sai, Master Thopterist (which creates a Thopter for every artifact spell), Efficient Construction, or even Third Path Iconoclast in non-artifact builds, all of which generate value more consistently and without needing a specific mechanic trigger.
