This card would benefit a deck that focuses on surveilling and graveyard interactions, such as a Dimir or Grixis control deck in Magic: the Gathering. While Candlestick offers card draw and a surveil ability, there are better options like [[Sword of the Animist]] for ramp or [[Sword of Feast and Famine]] for untapping lands, making Candlestick a niche card that may not see much play in competitive decks.
