Cinder Shade fits well in a Black-Red (Rakdos) aggro or midrange deck, where its ability to pump its power and deal damage can be leveraged for aggressive strategies or removal. While it has potential, there are arguably stronger options like Kazuul's Fury or Fling for direct damage, or Bonecrusher Giant for versatility and value. However, Cinder Shade's ability to grow larger and deal damage makes it a decent choice in a deck that can capitalize on its synergies, especially if you have ways to generate additional mana or sacrifice outlets, so it could see play depending on the overall strategy and meta.
