About Inferno Elemental

Inferno Elemental, Creature — elemental, designed by Zoltan Boros & Gabor Szikszai first released in Jul, 2009 in the set Magic 2010. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 0.71.

A red aggro deck focused on dealing direct damage and controlling the board would benefit from including Inferno Elemental, as it can help clear out opposing creatures while applying pressure. However, there are better cards like Flametongue Kavu which offers a similar effect with a more efficient cost, making it a stronger choice in most scenarios. Inferno Elemental could see situational play in casual or budget decks, but in competitive settings, it may not be the optimal choice.

The 3 damage that Inferno Elemental deals as a result of its ability is not combat damage. Inferno Elemental will still deal its combat damage as normal (unless all the creatures that blocked or were blocked by it have left the battlefield by the time the combat damage step begins).
