About Inferno Elemental

Inferno Elemental, Creature — elemental, designed by Zoltan Boros & Gabor Szikszai first released in Jul, 2009 in the set Magic 2010. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 0.76.

This Inferno Elemental card would be a great fit for a red aggressive deck looking to apply pressure and control the board through direct damage. While it can be a strong deterrent for opponents to attack or block with their creatures, there are potentially better options like Flametongue Kavu which offers a similar effect with a more efficient cost and body. However, Inferno Elemental could still see play in certain metas or strategies that benefit from its ability to deal consistent damage in combat situations.

The 3 damage that Inferno Elemental deals as a result of its ability is not combat damage. Inferno Elemental will still deal its combat damage as normal (unless all the creatures that blocked or were blocked by it have left the battlefield by the time the combat damage step begins).
