A deck that focuses on land recursion and graveyard synergies, such as a Golgari or Gitrog Monster deck in Commander, would benefit from including Ramunap Excavator. While Ramunap Excavator is a solid choice for this strategy, some may argue that Crucible of Worlds is a better alternative due to its ability to play any land from the graveyard, not just basic lands. However, Ramunap Excavator can still be a valuable inclusion in decks looking to maximize land plays from the graveyard and should see play in the right context.

Ramunap Excavator doesn’t change the times when you can play those land cards. You can still play only one land per turn, and only during your main phase when you have priority and the stack is empty.
