This card, Whispering Snitch, would be a great addition to a surveil-focused Dimir (blue-black) control deck in Magic: the Gathering. It provides incremental life gain and direct damage to opponents, which can be valuable in a slower, more controlling strategy. While there may be more powerful options available for competitive play, Whispering Snitch could still see play in a surveil-themed deck looking to gain incremental advantages over time.

An ability that triggers “whenever you surveil” triggers after you’re done surveilling, even if you have fewer cards in your library than the number of cards you’re instructed to surveil. It even triggers if you have no cards in your library.
