Esta carta sería beneficiosa en un mazo de control que se centre en lanzar un alto número de hechizos de conjuro, ya que proporciona un potente motor de ventaja de cartas al permitirte lanzar repetidamente copias de instantáneos de cementerios de forma gratuita. Mientras que Spellweaver Volute puede ser una adición divertida y única a un mazo, existen opciones potencialmente mejores disponibles dependiendo de la estrategia específica y el formato, como Snapcaster Mage para flexibilidad a velocidad instantánea o Mystic Confluence para opciones de hechizos versátiles. If the enchanted card changes zones (due to being cast with flashback, or being exiled with Cremate, for example), Spellweaver Volute “falls off” and is put into its owner’s graveyard as a state-based action.

Say Spellweaver Volute’s ability triggers, then the enchanted instant card is exiled in response. Spellweaver Volute, which is now enchanting nothing, is put into its owner’s graveyard as a state-based action. When the Volute’s ability resolves, it will check its last existence on the battlefield and identify the “enchanted card” as “nothing,” so no copy is created.
