Hallowed Moonlight is a great addition to a white control deck that wants to disrupt opponent's creature-based strategies. It can be particularly effective against decks that rely on cheating creatures into play, such as reanimator or Aetherworks Marvel decks. While there may be other situational cards that can also disrupt these strategies, Hallowed Moonlight's ability to replace itself by drawing a card makes it a solid choice for decks looking to maintain card advantage while disrupting their opponent's game plan. After Hallowed Moonlight resolves, if a creature token would be put onto the battlefield, it’s put into exile instead and then ceases to exist. Creature tokens are never cast, even if the spell that created them was.
