Un mazzo di controllo focalizzato sul indebolire le creature dell'avversario trarrebbe beneficio dall'utilizzo di Mass Diminish, in quanto può neutralizzare efficacemente le minacce sul campo. Mentre potrebbero esserci opzioni migliori come Cyclonic Rift per un incantesimo di rimozione più versatile, Mass Diminish potrebbe comunque essere giocato in metagiochi specifici in cui ridurre la forza e la resistenza delle creature è cruciale per il successo di una strategia.

The converted mana cost of the spell is determined only by its mana cost, no matter what the total cost to cast the spell was.
