Een kaartspel dat kleurfixatie en het trekken van kaarten vereist, zoals een meerkleurig kaartspel of een combo-kaartspel, zou baat hebben bij het gebruik van Chromatic Sphere. Hoewel er misschien betere opties zijn, zoals Chromatic Star of Mana Crypt voor snellere mana-acceleratie of betere mogelijkheden om kaarten te trekken, kan Chromatic Sphere nog steeds een plaats vinden in bepaalde kaartspelstrategieën die afhankelijk zijn van kleurvaststelling en toenemend kaartvoordeel. Over het geheel genomen heeft het potentieel om spel te zien in decks waar deze mogelijkheden cruciaal zijn voor succes.
