Dead Reveler podría ser una valiosa adición a un mazo con temática de sacrificio o aggro de Rakdos en Magic: the Gathering, ya que su habilidad Unleash puede proporcionar un rápido impulso a su poder. Sin embargo, hay opciones más fuertes disponibles en el mismo rango de costo de maná, como Diregraf Ghoul o Dread Wanderer, que ofrecen un valor más consistente sin la desventaja de no poder bloquear.
